“Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”

– ROBERT FROST.

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound’s the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go away before I sleep,

And miles to go away before I sleep.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening Summary

We can get the moral inspiration and self-motivation from the very last two lines of last STANZA of the regarding poem.

Life is not a bed of roses. There would be much difficulties, sorrows, inauspicious portion of night, anxieties along with the blissful auspicious days. These are inextricably so down to earth phenomena. We sometimes get fierce, become distressed and get obsession while facing those kinds of difficulties rather than facing those with having gallantry. The eventualities are such like that we unfortunately have to compensate for those things. Whatever the situations would be; whether much difficulties or, even worst, we are never supposed to stop our journey, our responsibilities, rather we need to buckle down for getting the overcome from it, facing these things off, and wait for the ultimate success. We must to fulfill all promises for thyself, and those which are given for fulfilling to somebody. We are supposed to go miles away before death.

And miles to go away before we sleep. These are the key factors, learning lessons of the poem as well as the allegory that reflects the poem.
