“The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World” was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States on October 28, 1886. We recognize it as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy.

 1. The statue’s full name is Liberty Enlightening the World.

2. Lady Liberty wears a size 879 shoe.

3. There are 25 windows in the crown.
